Every spring, North Oaks Sports Medicine provides free physicals for Tangipahoa and Livingston parishes student-athletes. This year, more than 1,300 area student-athletes from 42 junior high and high schools participated. This represents a combined savings of nearly $100,000 for local residents, like the Jones family of Hammond.

Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Health held its annual asthma camp June 11-15 to help kids with asthma have safe and fun activities while also learning more about their asthma. Trained medical staff helped campers learn how to better manage their asthma while also ensuring they are able to experience typical summer fun.
