As Sepsis Awareness Month comes to a close, FMOL Health is sharing how a rapid diagnostic test and updated emergency department protocol are continuing to save lives across the health system. Since implementing the new protocol system-wide, FMOL Health has seen a 24% decrease in sepsis-related deaths. 

The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) now officially administers the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). This transition, made possible under the state’s Project One Door legislation, is the first step made in consolidating multiple benefit applications under a single agency. Over time, this move will reduce paperwork and wait times for residents, increase efficiency for staff, and create a more streamlined experience for Louisiana families.
