Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group welcomes Brian Higgins, JD, MD, ABFM, and Westside Family Medicine Clinic in Brusly into its network of healthcare providers. The clinic will now operate under the name Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group – Westside.
Higgins will continue to lead the local clinic and provide healthcare services to his patients as an Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group provider.
“I know my patients well, having watched Brusly families grow over the years, and I consider it my privilege to be their doctor,” Dr. Higgins said. “My top priority is personal attention, which is critically important to the Lake, as well. That’s what makes this a really good fit for our patients and our community. Now, with the added support of Our Lady of the Lake's specialists and many convenient locations, we will enhance our ability to ensure our patients have easy access to the highest standard of medical care possible.”
Higgins graduated from Southern Methodist University, with a bachelor’s degree in political science, and in 1998, graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his residency at Baton Rouge General and has practiced at Westside Family Medicine for nearly 15 years. Higgins also holds a law degree from LSU's Paul M. Hebert School of Law.

Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group – Westside offers evaluation and care of illnesses and minor injuries for patients of all ages. Services also include management and treatment of chronic illness, comprehensive physical exams, health screenings, immunizations, and more.
Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group – Westside is located at 402 N. Vaughn Street in Brusly. The clinic is open from 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and on Saturday for urgent care from 8:30 a.m.- 12 noon. To schedule an appointment, call (225) 749-2645.
