Woman’s Hospital Announces Glynis Cowart as New Senior VP, CIO

Woman’s announced that Glynis Cowart is the new senior vice president and chief information officer. Cowart, a U.S. Air Force veteran, brings experience and knowledge of systems at all levels of healthcare information and technology operations. Cowart has managed multiple digital divisions and in her most recent role as CIO of Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, she successfully completed a multi-year rollout of Epic, a comprehensive electronic health record platform used by hospitals and health systems.

Cowart holds professional certifications including Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems as well as Epic accreditations and credentials. In addition, she maintains memberships with several organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Cowart earned a Master of Public Administration from Marist College and Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Nyack College.
