Woman’s Hospital welcomed two new surgeons, Lindsey Fauveau MD, and Gabrielle Hawkins, MD. Fauveau joined Woman’s Breast Specialists Clinic while Hawkins joined the Woman’s GYN Oncology Clinic, both located on the hospital’s main campus in Baton Rouge.
“Providing women with superior cancer care is more than our job, it’s our mission,” says Woman’s President and CEO Rene Ragas. “Our patients will benefit greatly from the incredible knowledge, talent and compassion that both Dr. Fauveau and Dr. Hawkins bring to the Woman’s cancer services team.”
Fauveau is a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist with more than a decade of experience. She specializes in breast cancer surgeries and advanced surgical techniques like oncoplastic and hidden scar breast surgeries.
Fauveau graduated from Louisiana State University and earned a medical degree with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine. She completed a general surgery residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Fauveau is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Society of Surgical Oncology.
Hawkins is a board-certified and fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist with over 10 years of experience. She specializes in the prevention, detection, and treatment of gynecologic cancers including cervical, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, and vulvar.
Hawkins graduated from the University of Virginia and earned a medical degree with high honors. She also earned a master of science degree in biological science from Drexel University College of Medicine/Hahnemann University. She completed both an obstetrics and gynecology residency and a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Hawkins is board-certified by the ABOG Board in Gynecologic Oncology and Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
