“A feel-good moment in the midst of Coronavirus news cycle . . .
“We know it may be kind of scary to have a loved one in the hospital right now. And there may be some frustration with tighter visitor guidelines now in place to keep patients, staff and visitors safe and to help reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
“At BRG, we’ve set up a remote chat option for loved ones to ‘visit’ with their family member in our ICU. Using a large iPad screen connected to a rolling cart, a nurse can connect a patient straight to a loved one’s personal cell phone. This means the patient can “visit” with more family and friends – a great way to interact especially with grandkids who aren’t able to visit them right now.”
