Register for the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Symposium

Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital St. Jude Affiliate Clinic will host its third annual Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Symposium on Friday, September 23. The event will provide discussion on a wide range of pediatric cancer and blood disorder topics, practices and trends for healthcare professionals in Louisiana. Pediatricians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other medical professionals are encouraged to attend.

Registration is open through Monday, September 12 at a cost of $45. Our Lady of the Lake employees may receive a discounted registration cost of $25. Register today at ololchildrens.org/symposium

The program features keynote speaker Dr. Sima Jeha from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, in addition to a robust lineup of top pediatric cancer experts. The agenda includes discussions on research, survivorship, childhood anemias, the sickle cell population, neuropsychology in pediatric patients, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and Pediatric ITP diagnosis and therapies. A vendor showcase will also be included at the event.

The symposium will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on September 23 in the Heart & Vascular Institute Grand Lecture Hall at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, 5000 Hennessy Boulevard, Baton Rouge. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Continuing nursing education (CNE) hours have been applied for with the Louisiana State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
