In honor of National Cancer Survivors Day, Ochsner Cancer Center – Baton Rouge will host a Cancer Center Celebration on June 10. The event will feature tours of the cancer center, free screenings, activities for children, refreshments, and giveaways
The event will be held at the Ochsner Cancer Center – Baton Rouge, 17050 Medical Center Dr., from 1 – 4 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. Free screenings include cancer genetics risk assessment, skin cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, peripheral vascular disease, cardiology oncology, blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure.
National Cancer Survivors Day is the first Sunday in June. The day is meant to “demonstrate that life after a cancer diagnosis can be a reality”.
