Woman's Hires Katrice A. Albert, PhD, as Diversity and Inclusion Consultant

Woman’s Hospital has hired Katrice A. Albert, PhD, a national expert in helping organizations overcome barriers in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). She is tasked with providing guidance as Woman’s updates organizational policies and develops programs that foster a greater culture of inclusion.

“Dr. Albert has had much success in creating more inclusive environments within a wide variety of organizations, and I am confident she will have a tremendous impact on Woman’s and our culture,” said Barbara Griffith, MD, president and CEO of Woman’s Hospital. “As healthcare providers, it is our duty to ensure equitable treatment to all those we serve, and Dr. Albert will be that compass that helps shape our policies and guide our decisions.”

In the coming months, Albert will continue to work alongside Woman’s leadership to build a DE&I Committee and develop strategic objectives for impactful organizational change.

“Leaders at Woman’s have made a commitment to growing the culture of inclusion within the organization, and I can tell that their desire for change is serious and genuine,” said Albert. “Acknowledging the need for change is the first important step in any diversity program, but that’s only the beginning. I look forward to helping define what that looks like for Woman’s, their staff, and the patients they care for.”

A native of New Roads, La., Albert has more than 25 years of experience leading DE&I programs. In her career, she has served as LSU’s chief diversity officer as well as the executive vice president of inclusion and human resources at the National College Athletic Association (NCAA).

Currently, she is the managing member of Third Eye Consulting Group, a diversity management consulting firm headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind. She provides organizational and leadership development, executive coaching and inclusive excellence consultation to help educational institutions, nonprofits, and civic entities achieve transformational change. Clients include the United States Department of Homeland Security, Neiman Marcus Group, the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services, the Association of Junior Leagues International, the California State University System, Notre Dame University, and the University of Nebraska, among others.
