Performance Contracters Donates $200K+ to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, OLOL Children's Hospital

Performance Contractors, Inc. recently presented a check of more than $207,000 to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital to help patients continue to receive the highest quality of care. The two organizations will split the funds evenly.

Over the past year, Performance Contractors raised the funds through the organization’s new Performance Strong employee giving campaign. More than 1,000 employees from throughout Louisiana raised $103,876 for the two organizations. Performance Contractors matched all individual contributions dollar for dollar bringing the total donation to $207,753.

“As part of our commitment to be good corporate citizens, Performance Contractors is proud to partner with Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital in helping patients receive the best care possible,” said Art Favre, president, Performance Contractors and president, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center board of directors. “We couldn’t be more proud to see our employees help build better communities. Our team is committed to making a lasting impact in the areas where our associates and customers call home.”

All proceeds raised through the drive for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center will support key supportive services for cancer patients and their families, such as patient navigation and prevention and early detection, which is important in catching cancer early or stopping it before it starts. Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center provides patients with comprehensive resources to fight cancer, significantly funded by community contributions.

Funds raised for Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital will support lifesaving pediatric programs such as intensive care, surgery, emergency/trauma, child life, hematology/oncology, and the pediatric development and therapy center. In 2019, Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital opened a new state-of-the-art facility that will assist in improving the lives of Louisiana’s children for years to come.
