Assumption Community Hospital, a subsidiary of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, will be under new leadership as Christy Hockaday, FACHE begins her tenure as CEO on January 21. Hockaday assumes the role of CEO upon the retirement of Wayne Arboneaux, who has overseen operations at Assumption Community Hospital for the past 20 years.
Hockaday has served as administrator of Shared Services for the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System for two-and-a-half years, and she will retain those responsibilities in addition to her new duties at Assumption Community Hospital. Her most recent experiences have focused on the efficiencies and economy of shared supply chain, IT connectivity, and collaborative care.
“Christy’s experience with our health system brings strategic value to the many organizations with which she regularly connects,” said K. Scott Wester, president and CEO of Our Lady of the Lake. “The many relationships she has developed throughout her career will serve Assumption Community Hospital well.”
Hockaday’s experience includes serving as administrator and COO for Heart Hospital of Lafayette, CEO for CHI St. Vincent Morrilton in Morrilton, Ark., and Corporate Director of Business Development for Conway Regional Health System in Conway, Ark. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and a Master of Science in Health Services Administration from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been a credentialed Fellow since 2006. In 2005, Hockaday was honored with the ACHE Early Career Healthcare Arkansas Executive Award for outstanding hospital and community leadership.
