Baton Rouge General Physicians’ Dr. Robert Chasuk was honored for his outstanding contributions to fertility care through service, education, and research with the 2017 Outstanding FertilityCare Medical Consultant Award from the American Academy of FertilityCare Professionals at their annual meeting this summer. The accolade is presented each year to a physician committed to treating health problems by empowering women to better understand factors that influence their fertility cycles.
In 2004, Chasuk was the first physician in the Baton Rouge area to be certified as a FertilityCare Medical Consultant, and is still one of a handful of physicians in the state qualified to use NaProTECHNOLOGY, a customized approach to women’s health issues, including infertility, premenstrual syndrome, recurrent ovarian cysts, abnormal bleeding, and polycystic ovarian syndrome.
"I enjoy helping women manage reproductive health issues, based on their bodies’ specific needs,” said Dr. Chasuk. “This restorative, natural approach has a strong basis in biology, and is proven to be as, or more, effective than more commonly offered treatments.”
A family medicine doctor with Baton Rouge General Physicians, Dr. Chasuk is Associate Director of the Family Medicine Residency Program, and Chief of the Family Medicine Division for Baton Rouge General.
