A partnership involving Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University’s Nurse Anesthesia Program and LCMC Health continues to expand.

FranU has announced its renewal of LCMC’s Healthcare Professionals Pipeline Program to include up to 10 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) scholars in the Class of 2025. These scholars will receive $30,000 in tuition assistance in exchange for a one-year work commitment at an LCMC facility.

Graves earned a medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. She completed both an internal medicine residency and fellowship from Ochsner Foundation Hospital.

Ochsner Medical Center – Baton Rouge has installed the Intuitive da Vinci 5® advanced robotic system that helps surgeons perform minimally invasive procedures.

The da Vinci system transfers the surgeon’s hand movements to a set of robotic arms fitted with instruments that hold and manipulate the parts of patients’ bodies being operated on at a high level of precision. The da Vinci 5’s biggest innovation is enabling the surgeon’s hands to feel the same amount of pressure used by the robotic instruments.

The 25th annual New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) conference brought 1,395 attendees from across the globe to New Orleans to collaborate and share education on the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, particularly peripheral vascular disease. The conference was held May 28-31 at The Roosevelt Hotel with the goal of improving cardiovascular care and treatment across the country.
