LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center has appointed Dr. Robert Malone, a scientist and conspiracy theorist who gained fame by spreading vaccine misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic, as an adjunct professor.
Earlier this month, FMOL Health | Our Lady of the Lake hosted Take Back the Night – a free community event focused on raising awareness about domestic violence and offering support to survivors. The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) announced the application period for the second round of the H.E.R.O. Fund. Approximately $6 million will be distributed among recipients.
The H.E.R.O. Fund, which provides matching two-year grants to healthcare training and education programs, helps grow the healthcare workforce pipeline in Louisiana.
The application period will close on Jan. 16, 2026.
