Submissions Being Accepted for 2018 Environmental Leadership Program Awards

The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality has announced that the award cycle is open for project submissions for the 2018 Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) awards. ELP is a voluntary partnership with businesses, municipalities, non-governmental organizations, federal entities, schools, universities, and community organizations designed to promote a cleaner and better environment. The ELP Awards Program recognizes outstanding activities and projects undertaken by the membership which demonstrate environmental leadership and the pursuit of a cleaner, safer environment.

This year, all projects must be submitted through a new online application form -- no paper copy is required.  Those who are not ELP members can still enroll and submit an award application via the webpage.  A guidance document has been provided with detailed instructions for assistance in completing the form. Applicants should view the guidance document and awards program overview document before starting an online application.

All documents, including a member application link, are available on the ELP webpage at http://deq.louisiana.gov/page/the-louisiana-environmental-leadership-program

Applications must be submitted by the close of business on Feb. 28, 2018. The awards ceremony is scheduled for April 10.

For any questions, please send an email to ELP@la.gov, or call (225) 219-0877.
