Lane Regional Medical Center announced that F. Gregory Harris, MD has joined the hospital medical staff as Medical Director for Lane Behavioral Health Services in Baker. Lane Behavioral Health Services offers intensive outpatient treatment for adults experiencing life-altering emotional crises, such as depression, anxiety, panic, stress, fear, and other personal disorders.

A native of Baton Rouge, Harris earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. He completed an internship in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas and his residency in General Psychiatry at the Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, where he received the Outstanding Service Award. Harris is a member of the National Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, and Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association.
