Earl K. Long Wins Awards
The fifteenth annual LSU Health Care Effectiveness Forum, “LSU Health: Targeting the Triple Aim,” recognized achievements of hospitals throughout the LSU Health Care Services Division. Clinical Lead Awards were given for leadership efforts in providing exemplary healthcare in disease management programs. Clinical Excellence Awards were given to those demonstrating superior outcomes on a bundle of disease-specific performance measures.
Dr. Robert Thibodaux, with Earl K. Long Medical Center received the Clinical Lead Award for Hypertension. Kerri Capello, RRT, AE-C, received the Clinical Lead Award in Asthma. EKLMC also received the Clinical Excellence Award in Asthma and HIV. Nakesha Auguster, Tobacco Cessation Coordinator for EKLMC, received the Clinical Lead Award in Tobacco Cessation as a member of the HCSD Tobacco Cessation Initiative team.
