LSU Addresses CCNs
Next week’s LSU Health Care Effectiveness Fall Meeting will feature Dr. Fred Cerise, LSU
Vice President for Health Affairs and Medical Education, and a panel discussion on how
coordinated care networks (CCNs) operate. Free and open to the public, the meeting will be
Tuesday, October 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner.
Besides the panel discussion, Dr. Ron Horswell will present “Measuring Our Medical Homes,”
Jeannine Hinton, “New Models for Primary Care,” Dr. Lee Arcement, “CHF: Expanding the
Scope,” Dr. Sarah Moody-Thomas, “Tobacco Control: Moving Forward” and Dr. Valerie
Harwell Myers, “Weight Control: New Pilots.” Dr. Michael Kaiser, LSU Health Care Services
Division Chief Medical Officer, will also give an update on the HCSD.
